In 2007-08 we witnessed one of the worst crashes of the banking system since the Great Depression of the 1930s. The answer to this failure of the system? Absolutely nothing. Seven years later and we’re still in dire straits. Inequality hasn’t been so high since that very same Great Depression of the 1930s, the bank executives are throwing bonus’s at themselves like never before, yet the government actively fight against any regulation intended to curtail their reckless destruction of our economy.
